We will spend time retracing the
footsteps of Moses and the Israelites in the wilderness, sail on the
Nile visiting the ancient tombs and temples - perhaps the very spot
where Pharaoh's daughter drew the baby Moses from the water, visit the
Mummy Room where there are strong chances you will be face to face with
the same Pharaoh that Moses spoke to at the time of the Exodus.
Join us for a great time of teaching and fellowship! Here are just
a few of the exciting highlights: |
|
- View the blackened mountain
top, Jabal al Lawz as outlined in Exodus 19:18
- Teaching at Elephantine Island, once the home of the Ark of the
Covenant
- Visit a Bedouin camp in the Sinai via 4WD vehicle, with a
teaching under a tent, and a barbeque
- Day trip on the Red Sea to snorkel or dive over the site of the
parting of the Sea

- Visit the Royal Valley of the Kings and the Royal Valley of the
Queens

Itinerary - See beginning dates above. |
|
Day 1 |
Those who did not start the tour by exploring
Ethiopia will depart their home city today for Cairo. |
|
Day 2 |
After arrival in Cairo this morning, we rest at
a nice hotel overlooking the Nile. It is just north of
Cairo that is closest to the Land of Goshen, from where the
Israelites began their journey. This afternoon, an
optional visit will be offered. |
|
Day 3 |
Visit the Pyramids at Giza. It is
amazing to think that these Pyramids were well
known to Jacob, Moses and Aaron at the time of
the Exodus and were probably seen by Jesus
himself.
After lunch, join those who began this adventure
in Ethiopia for a teaching and visit the
Egyptian Museum. The actual name of Pharaoh of
the Exodus is not recorded in the Bible. It may
actually be possible to see the man (mummy) that
Moses spoke to during the time of the Exodus. |
|
Day 4 |
Short flight to visit Abu Simbel, an
architectural wonder made possible by the USA,
then on to Aswan. Once we are settled into our
5 Star, brand new luxury river cruise ship, we
will enjoy a felucca sail on the Nile over to
Elephantine Island – former site of the Ark of
the Covenant.
It was in the Nile River where Moses was placed
in a waterproof basket and found by Pharaoh’s
daughter, and Moses is indirectly named after
the waters of the Nile. In addition, a number
of the Ten Plagues inflicted before the Exodus
involved the Nile, including turning the waters
to blood. |
|
Day 5 |
Full day of touring with our own Egyptologist.
See the High Aswan Dam, the Obelisk quarry, and Philae Temple and then sail on
to Kom Ombo. |
|
Day 6 |
Another full day of sailing the Nile and
stopping at the various ancient temple sites with teachings by
Chuck and the Egyptologist. |
|
Day 7 |
Luxor today, with visits to the Valley
of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and the
other famous temples and tombs, including the
tomb of child Pharaoh Tutankamen. |
|
Day 8 |
Departure to Sharm el Sheik, located on
the tip of the Sinai Peninsula, on the Red Sea
where the Israelites crossed. All day trip
together on boats that will take us out to the
land bridge that was opened up for the
Israelites. Snorkel and dive equipment will be
made available to you. Perhaps you can help Bob
discover a chariot or other exciting evidence!
|
|
Day 9 |
Today we drive north on the Sinai Peninsula to a
viewpoint to see the blackened summit of Jabal al Lawz. Exodus 24:17 states
the glory of the Lord “was like a consuming fire
on top of the mountain”. After lunch and a
teaching, we will travel out to a Bedouin
tribal encampment to experience what it was like
for the Israelites. “Oh God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.” Psalms 63:1. |
|
Day 10 |
Today is a free day to enjoy the beach and the
pools. There will be an optional trip this afternoon up to
St. Catherine’s Monastery. This is the traditional site of
Mt. Sinai and it involves substantial walking in the heat. |
|
Day 11 |
Early morning departure from Sharm,
via Cairo, arriving in New York this afternoon,
or your home city this evening. Ask about low
airfare add-ons! We also have business and
first class add-ons. |
